In Autumn I had the honor to fly Airlink on their E135LR twice, I did really enjoy their nice attitude. As Airlink is now a independent airline, the crew was very proud and seemed to be very happy working for Airlink even during a pandemic.
I was flying from Cape Town up to Kimberley both flights where only short 1 hour trips without any big service due to the covid restrictions, at the time traveling, service wasn't allowed by the SA government on domestic flights. The E135's come in a 1-2 configuration with some old and not too comfortable seats. There is literally nothing to talk about in terms of features of this aircraft's cabin, the planes are simply equipped with standard seats, even, there is no business class at all. As there where only 10 people flying with me, no priority boarding for status customers was provided. In conclusion, you don't get any benefit when paying more, on these routes.
But the big reward you get is, you get to land at some beautiful airports in the middle of nowhere in Africa, where you even can spot the wildlife when approaching the airport. So all in all, it's great to fly Airlink, an airline with a lot of potential.
