Starting with the check in procedure, it was super smooth, you get your documents checked before check-in which makes it super efficient. There where no long queues because of passengers that didn't have all the documents ready.
Before boarding, you're invited to visit the OSL Lounge, I will write about that one in a later post. Boarding was fast and efficient, as the flight was nearly empty. As soon as you arrive at your seat, (mine was 1K) you are asked if you'd like to have a welcome drink, I went for the Laurent Perrier Champagne. As well the flight attendant asked immediately, what kind of food you prefer. I felt a bit stressed as I needed to settle down first, before checking on the menu. Then we started pushback on time, and took off, heading to Doha.
Seat
Let's talk about the seat, the seat comes in a reverse herringbone 1-2-1 configuration. It is really comfortable even tough this wasn't a night-flight I tried out the 180° lie flat bed, which was very good, for me even better than the Q-Suite seats. one drawback is the widt of the seat which makes eating a bit difficult as your elbows can't move that much between the storage compartment on the window side and the door of the suite at the other side. Talking of the door, the door ensures maximum privacy as, if it's closed you can barely see the seat.
Storage space at the seat is not that great, you only get a small compartment where you can put your passport or small personal belongings. One cool gadget is, that there is a wireless charging pad, where you can charge your phone. I think this is cool but not really necessary as your seat anyways has a power outlet.
Service
I was really lucky with my flight attendant, she really made the flight as enjoyable as possible. In terms of food I can't tell that much, it was excellent, as you'd expect it from Qatar Airways, but I was not completely blown away. I went for the Arabic Mezze and the Lamb, as a dessert a Tiramisu was served which was definitely the highlight, but I unfortunately forgot to take a picture of it.
Conclusion
Definitely worth it! My experience was way better than in my Q-Suite flight which comes online soon. Especially the bed was more comfortable. Big thanks goes out to the crew as well, as already mentioned, the crew was really nice, they where always at the right place when you needed them, which definitely is important.
